Foundation Stone laid for the development of civil enclave of Adampur  Airport in Punjab


Shri. Suresh Prabhu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation laid the Foundation Stone for the development of Civil Enclave of Adampur Airport through Video Link today. The ceremony took place at Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan, Corporate Headquarters of AAI in the august presence of Dr. Guruprasad Mohapatra, Chairman, AAI and other dignitaries connected by formal event organised at Adampur Airport through video link in presence of Shri Vijay Sampla, Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment. Airports Authority of India, under the aegis of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and has an important role to play in the development and upgradation of the civil aviation infrastructure in the country. Adampur Airport belongs to the Indian Air force and Airports Authority of India is developing a Civil Enclave under RCS Scheme at the cost of Rs. 115 crores. A terminal building with an area of 7500 sqm. will be constructed which will be able to handle 300 passengers during peak hours.
