AAI’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport, Kolkata & Devi Ahilyabai Holkar International Airport, Indore received the prestigious National Tourism Award 2018-19 from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India as ‘Best Tourist Friendly Airport in Class X (Metro) Cities’ & Best Tourist Friendly Airport in the “Other cities” categories respectively. The prestigious award was conferred to the Shri C Pattabhi, Airport Director, Kolkata Airport & Shri C V Ravindran, Airport Director, Indore Airport by Shri. Jagdeep Dhankhar, Hon’ble Vice-President of India, in a ceremony held at the Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi on 27 th September 2022. Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism and Shri Ajay Bhatt, MoS Tourism also graced the ceremony. The award represents recognition of efforts for providing tourist friendly amenities and contributing towards promoting tourism.
