Arun Jaitely was a large hearted leader who always respected and gave space to others’ point of view. When he was Leader of Opposition, the government was always assured that with a rational mind, your point of view will be appreciated, something we miss today to the detriment of political governance. The Vice President, Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar made these remarks at the award ceremony of first Arun Jaitley Memorial Debate at Shri Ram College of Commerce in New Delhi today.
Remembering his long association with Shri Jaitley, Shri Dhankhar said that as Chairman, Rajya Sabha he misses him everyday.
