Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda on Wednesday said that the BJP government has started numerous programs to empower youth over the past ten years, including the Start-up India, Make in India, and Skill India missions.
Addressing a meeting of Yuva Sammelan in Kolkata, West Bengal, the BJP National President asserted India is the world's second-largest exporter of medicines in the world.
"We produce the cheapest and the most effective medicines. India has become a hub of pharmaceuticals and petrochemicals... Mobile phones are also being Made in India. Even Apple has set up a manufacturing unit in India. 97 per cent of manufacturing of mobiles is now in India," Nadda said.
"BJP government has started numerous programs to empower youth over the past ten years, including the Start-up India, Make in India, and Skill India missions. All of these programs are meant to improve youth development, employability, and skill levels," he added.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a roadshow in West Bengal's Bankura in support of BJP candidate Subhas Sarkar.
The Home Minister was seated on a specially designed vehicle and was greeting the huge number of people gathered there.
