Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) launches one more program, for empowerment of women, on the occasion of international women's day.
In association with Gandhidham Collegiate Board, which today celebrated International women's day, by launching Artificial jewellery making Program for empowerment of women. The program is part of Deendayal Kaushal Vikas Program funded by DPA as part of its CSR activities. It was launched by Smt. Nisha Singh, in the presence of Dr. Darshnaben Dholakia former VC of KSKV Kutch University. The program is aimed at improving the living conditions of women in rural areas through skill development programs.
Speaking on this occasion, Smt. Nisha Singh lauded the important role played by GCB in the field of Education, skill development, Health and Culture, Mrs Darshnaben emphasized upon the role played by men in the field of social reforms for the benefit of women.
On this occasion Smt. Nisha Singh presented certificates to the participants of various skill development programs organised by Anjana Hazari community development centre and also inaugurated the exhibition of articles made by them. This was followed by cultural program.
The Function was attended by wives of senior officers and women Officers of DPA, faculty members of GCB and large number of beneficiaries of women empowerment programs from rural areas.
