Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) marked World Environment Day 2025 by organizing tree plantation drives at various locations across the country, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjay Kulshrestha, Chairman & Managing Director, HUDCO, highlighted the significance of integrating environmental stewardship into development initiatives. “Every day should be celebrated as Environment Day to instil the value of environmentally responsible behaviour,” he stated. Underscoring this year’s national theme- "One Nation, One Mission: End Plastic Pollution", he urged all employees to make environmentally conscious choices in daily life to combat the plastic waste crisis. HUDCO’s senior management, employees and members of local communities participated actively in tree plantation drives. To encourage green living and inculcate a sense of responsibility towards planet earth, HUDCO also distributed a sapling and a solar lamp to each of its employees.
