The Government of India has empanelled a large number of officers from various Group ‘A’ services for holding posts of Additional Secretary and Additional Secretary equivalent. Names include Vandana Jain (1991 batch Central Secretariat Service), Nidhi Pandey (1991 batch Indian Information Service) and Arvind Kumar Nautiyal (1992 batch Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers). Officers such as Sanjay Aggarwal (1992 batch IRSS), Satinder Kumar Bhalla (1992 batch ITS), Ansuman Pattnaik and Manoj Kumar (both 1994 batch IRS-IT), Ateesh Kumar Singh and Jayant Singh (1994 batch IRTS), and several others from IRPS, IDES, IFoS, IPoS, IA&AS, IDAS and other services have also been empanelled for Additional Secretary or equivalent responsibilities. The empanelment covers batches from early 1990s to late 1990s, expanding the pool of senior officers for higher-level policy and administrative roles.
