Three female officers- Mrs. Soma Mandal, Director (Commercial), SAIL who was selected as the first woman Chairperson of SAIL; Mrs Renuka Gera who is currently the ‘First Lady Executive Director’ of BHEL is also now the first woman selected for the portfolio of Director (Industrial System & Products), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL); Mrs Harjeet Kaur Joshi, first woman
Chairperson of SCI has been officiating in the post of CMD, SCI since December 19, 2019- have asserted their positions within the bureaucracy by successfully officiating in offices that were formerly male-dominated.
