The Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) of RINL was conferred with 3rd place for Best Enterprise award, a tribute to excellence in Public Enterprise management (under Navratna Category) in recognition of commendable work done by RINL for Development of Women in the Organisation. The prestigious award was presented by the Chief Guest, Shri Atul Sobti, Director General, Scope and the guest of Honour- Shri M K Singh, IPS, DG & CG Home Guard, West Bengal at the 33rd National Meet of the Forum Of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) held at Royal Bengal Room at Kolkata, today. The award was received on behalf of RINL by Smt Kumari S Chandrawati –Coordinator, WIPS , RINL along with other senior office bearers of RINL- WIPS. It may be noted that WIPS at RINL has been taking up several activities/measures towards the benefit of the working women at RINL ever since its inception in the year1997 at RINL. On 09.08.2022, RINL/WIPS celebrated its Silver Jubilee formation year in a grand manner and recently, Southern chapter of WIPS also recognized RINL/WIPS with the prestigious “WIPS Recognition award” at Southern Region level for the activities undertaken by WIPS-RINL for the women employees as a whole and also society-centric measures done by them. In addition to the above prestigious award to RINL-WIPS, Smt. Varanasi Suguna Soumya working as Sr. Manager in R&D department, RINL was conferred with Best Women employee award (1st place) in Executive category and Dr. KNLV Krishnaveni working as Admin. Assistant /Rajbhasha, RINL was conferred with Best Women employee award (3rd place) in Non-Executive category at the National Level for their noteworthy contributions employees for the organisation and the society. Smt. N Bhanu, GM (Training), RINL & Smt.K Sarala, DGM (Telecom), RINL members of the executive committee of Southern Region WIPS representing RINL-VSP received the best Newsletter award for Southern Region WIPS on the occasion. The “Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS)” was created under the aegis of SCOPE on 12th February, 1990 and has emerged as a single unified group of professional Women in the organized sector with 91 Central PSUs and Nationalized Banks as Corporate Life Members of WIPS and about 15,000 women employees of PSUs across the country as Individual Members.
