Haryana Government Announces Reshuffle of Senior IAS Officers
The Haryana state government has officially announced a series of administrative adjustments involving three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. Under the new directive, Chaudhary will also assume the role of Secretary for the Haryana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. In a parallel move within the health and administrative sector, Manoj Kumar-II, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been tasked with an expanded mandate. Already serving as the Commissioner of the Food & Drugs Administration and the Managing Director of the Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited, Kumar-II will now take on the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer for the Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority. This appointment is significant given the critical nature of the health protection authority in delivering medical services and insurance coverage to the residents of Haryana.
Strategic Realignments in District Administration
The reshuffle also involves a transition in the district-level leadership. Satbir Singh, an IAS officer of the 2018 batch, who was previously serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority, has been transferred to the position of Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak. This move is part of the routine administrative rotation designed to bring fresh perspectives to district-level governance. The role of a Deputy Commissioner is pivotal in overseeing law and order, developmental initiatives, and the implementation of state-sponsored schemes at the grassroots level.
