Telangana Reshuffles IAS Officers Across Election, Employment, and Municipal Departments
The Telangana government has announced a reshuffle of IAS officers across multiple departments, with Mrs M Haritha appointed Secretary of the Telangana Public Service Commission.
E V Narsimha Reddy has been posted as Managing Director of the Musi River Development Corporation Limited, a role tied to the state's ongoing river rejuvenation and urban waterfront development initiative centred on the Musi River running through Hyderabad, a project that has drawn sustained state government attention given its scale and visibility within the capital city.
Garima Agrawal has been given full additional charge as Collector and District Magistrate of Rajanna Sircilla, a district-level posting carrying direct administrative authority over revenue administration, law-and-order coordination, and welfare scheme implementation within the district.
The reshuffle extends into several other departments as well, with officers reassigned across the state's election machinery, employment and skill development administration, industrial policy implementation, and municipal governance functions, reflecting a broadly scoped administrative realignment rather than changes confined to a single sector.
The Telangana Public Service Commission, where Haritha now serves as Secretary, oversees recruitment examinations for state government positions, making the Secretary's role significant for the pace and administration of the state's public sector recruitment pipeline.
Municipal Commissioner and Collector-level postings such as Agrawal's Rajanna Sircilla charge tend to draw particular attention within broader state reshuffles given the direct public-facing nature of district administration and its role in implementing state welfare schemes at the ground level.
The transfer orders were issued through the Telangana government's General Administration Department, which administers postings and transfers for the state's IAS cadre officers.
