18 IAS Officers Reshuffled in Himachal Pradesh
Himachal Pradesh has reshuffled 18 IAS officers across departments including finance, cooperation, land records and several public sector corporations.
The Himachal Pradesh government has reshuffled 18 IAS officers in a broad administrative reordering covering departments ranging from finance and cooperation to land records and public sector corporations.
Dr Abhishek Jain, Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) and Principal Secretary for Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics, the 20-Point Programme, and Technical Education, has been given additional charge of Financial Commissioner (Appeals). Sudesh Kumar Mokhta has been appointed Secretary (Cooperation), while Amarjeet Singh takes over as Secretary, Town and Country Planning & Housing, in addition to continuing as Secretary (Home).
Among the other postings, Torul S Raveesh has been named Director, Land Records; Abhishek Verma becomes Managing Director of HP MILKFED; Ajay Kumar Yadav takes charge as MD of the Himachal Pradesh Medical Services Corporation; and Mahendra Pal Gurjar has been posted as Director (Personnel & Finance) at H.P. Power Transmission Corporation. Vinay Kumar has been given additional charge of MD, HP State Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, while Rahul Jain moves to MD, HP Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation and Mahila Vikas Nigam, with additional charge as Registrar of Dr Y S Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Nauni, and Administrator of Manav Bharti University.
Further down the reshuffle, Divyanshu Singal has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Solan; Om Kant Thakur becomes MD, HP State Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation; and Gursimar Singh takes charge as MD, General Industries Corporation Ltd. Ishant Jaswal has been posted as ADC (Development)-cum-Project Director, DRDA, Una; Rupinder Kaur to the equivalent post in Bilaspur; and Priyanshu Khati in Mandi. Dr Rajdeep Singh has been named Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Solan, while Dr Anjali Garg and Chandra Prakash have been posted as Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) at Kangra and Mandi respectively.
The scale of the reshuffle, spanning finance, cooperation, land records, public sector corporations and district-level development posts, reflects a wide administrative reset in the state rather than isolated individual transfers, with several officers picking up additional charges alongside their primary postings.
Reshuffles of this size are typically ordered by state governments either at the start of a fiscal year or when a cluster of vacancies accumulates across departments and corporations at the same time, requiring a single consolidated order rather than piecemeal transfers. The heavy presence of District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) postings and public sector corporation assignments among the 18 officers suggests the Himachal Pradesh government was addressing vacancies at the district development and PSU management level as much as at the state secretariat level.
