Assam Government Reshuffles IAS Officers Across Districts and Departments
Several IAS officers in Assam have been reassigned to district commissioner and departmental positions.
The Assam government has carried out a reshuffle of several IAS officers with new assignments in district administration and state departments. Partha Pratim Majumdar has been appointed District Commissioner of Bajali, while Aditya Vikram Yadav has been posted as District Commissioner of Lakhimpur. Narendra Kumar Shah has been appointed Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat with additional charge as Managing Director of Assam Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (AIIDC). Other postings include Preeti Kumari (DC West Karbi Anglong), Ayushi Jain (DC Darrang), Dhiraj Saud (DC Baksa) and Gakul Chandra Brahma (DC Chirang). Among departmental roles, Saranga Pani Sarma has been appointed Secretary, Transport Department, with additional charge as State Project Director of Assam Inland Water Transport Development Society. Gautam Das has been posted as Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development, while Jatin Bora has been assigned as Secretary, General Administration and Innovation, Incubation & Start-Ups Departments. Additional Secretary-level postings include Pronab Jit Kakoty, Parag Kumar Kakaty and Mridul Kumar Das in departments such as Skill Development, Revenue & Disaster Management, Home & Political Affairs and Women & Child Development.
