Uttar Pradesh Reshuffles More Than 25 IAS Officers Across Finance, Revenue, and Urban Development

Among the more prominent changes, Shiv Sahay Awasthi has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Road Development Authority, Anuj Singh has been posted as Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, and Abhinav Gopal has been appointed Vice Chairman of the Gorakhpur Development Authority, placing experienced officers across roles that carry direct responsibility for infrastructure and urban planning execution.

The reshuffle extended into the state's revenue and finance administration as well, with Divya Mittal assigned to the Revenue department and Neha Jain named Managing Director of the Kanpur Electricity Supply Company, positions that carry oversight of land records administration and municipal power distribution respectively, both areas with significant public-facing service delivery implications.

Municipal administration also saw changes, with Santosh Kumar Vaishya posted as Municipal Commissioner of Agra, a city whose civic administration carries particular weight given its status as a major tourism destination and the infrastructure demands that scale of visitor footfall places on municipal services.

Reshuffles spanning this many officers and departments simultaneously typically reflect a state government's periodic recalibration of its administrative machinery, often timed around shifts in policy priorities or ahead of major governance initiatives the state intends to pursue across the affected sectors.
