CCI clears Warburg Pincus' stake buy in Fleur Hotels; approves Lemon Tree restructuring
Fair trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday approved private equity giant Warburg Pincus' proposal to acquire a stake in Lemon Tree Hotels' arm, Fleur Hotels Ltd.
Fair trade regulator Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Tuesday approved private equity giant Warburg Pincus' proposal to acquire a stake in Lemon Tree Hotels' arm, Fleur Hotels Ltd.
The approval came after Lemon Tree Hotels, in January 2026, said its board has approved Warburg Pincus' acquisition of a 41.09 per cent stake held by APG Strategic Real Estate Pool NV in its subsidiary Fleur Hotels, along with a proposed investment of Rs 960 crore in tranches.
The competition watchdog also cleared the internal restructuring of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd group through amalgamation and demerger.
