Gulshan Bamra Gets Additional Charge of Scheduled Caste Welfare Department
Gulshan Bamra, Principal Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department, has been given additional charge of Scheduled Caste Welfare.
Gulshan Bamra, a 1997-batch IAS officer serving as Principal Secretary of the Tribal Affairs Department in Madhya Pradesh, has been given additional charge as Principal Secretary of the Scheduled Caste Welfare Department, according to the order dated June 17, 2026. The assignment is temporary and runs alongside Bamra's existing tribal affairs portfolio until further orders. The Scheduled Caste Welfare Department had previously been under Dr. E. Ramesh Kumar, who has been transferred to the Revenue Department in the same reshuffle, leaving the welfare department's leadership to be filled on an additional-charge basis. The order was issued by the General Administration Department and signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on behalf of the Governor.
