Haryana Reshuffles 13 IAS Officers; Pankaj Yadav Gets Water Resources Charge

Haryana government has reshuffled 13 IAS officers. Pankaj Yadav picks up additional charge as Chairperson of the Haryana Water Resources Authority, on top of his existing responsibilities. The order covers postings across divisions, municipal bodies and state departments.

The Water Resources Authority regulates groundwater extraction and canal-based irrigation allocation across Haryana's agricultural belt. Divisional Commissioners, several of whom change in this order, hold revenue and coordination authority over the district administrations beneath them — posts with direct bearing on land use and urban infrastructure decisions in some of the state's most industrialised districts.

Sanjay Joon becomes Commissioner of Faridabad Division and Chairman of the Mewat Development Agency, Nuh — pairing a major industrial division with a development body focused on the state's minority-concentrated Nuh region. Ravi Prakash Gupta takes over as Commissioner of Gurugram Division, arguably the state's most consequential posting given the concentration of corporate offices, IT parks and real estate in the district.

Ravi Rattan gets Karnal Division as Commissioner. Dhirendra Khadgata moves to the Faridabad Municipal Corporation as Commissioner, and additionally as CEO of Faridabad Smart City Limited, which runs the city's centrally funded smart-infrastructure projects. Shakti Singh takes additional charge as Director of the State Audit Department, which reviews accounts across government departments and local bodies.

Further down the list: Sachin Gupta becomes Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak, Aparajita takes over as Deputy Commissioner of Kaithal, and Satyender Duhan is appointed Commissioner of the Rohtak Municipal Corporation. Saloni Sharma adds District Municipal Commissioner, Karnal, to her present duties.

S.S. Khangwal becomes Additional Secretary and Director of the IT, Electronics and Communication department. Abhinav Siwach is posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Bahadurgarh. Apoorva Kumar Singh gets additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary, Architecture Department. The spread — revenue, urban local bodies, technical departments — points to a broad cadre realignment rather than a response to any single trigger.

The Haryana General Administration Department issued the order, which comes into force at once.
