Maharashtra Carries Out Sweeping IAS Reshuffle; Singhal Moves to Dharavi Project

Maharashtra witnessed a wide-ranging reshuffle of senior Indian Administrative Service officers on Tuesday, with the state government redistributing key responsibilities across several departments and civic bodies. Vijay Singhal, who had been serving as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), has been moved to lead the Dharavi Redevelopment Project as its Chief Executive Officer. Taking his place at CIDCO is Ashwin Mudgal, who has been appointed as the new Managing Director. Ashwini Joshi joins the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) as Additional Metropolitan Commissioner, while Dipendra Singh steps in as the CEO of the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). Dr. Kadambari Balkawade has been posted as Development Commissioner (Industries) at the Directorate of Industries. Sanjay Katkar has been assigned the dual charge of Director of the National Health Mission in Mumbai and Commissioner (Family Welfare). At the district level, Zenith Chandra Donthula takes charge as CEO of Gondia Zilla Parishad, and Anay Navandar has been posted as CEO of Akola Zilla Parishad. Prajakta Verma is set to join the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation as Additional Commissioner. The reshuffle reflects the government's administrative priorities across urban development, industry, health, and local governance.
