Major Administrative Reshuffle: Seven IAS Officers Reassigned in West Bengal
A major administrative shake-up in West Bengal sees seven IAS officers transferred to new roles, including key appointments in Jalpaiguri, South 24 Parganas, and the Health Department.
The West Bengal administration has implemented a significant reshuffle involving seven Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. As part of the new postings, Mrs. Shama Parveen takes charge as the Senior Special Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department. Ravi Prakash Meena has been designated as the new District Magistrate (DM) of Jalpaiguri, and Shantanu Bala assumes the role of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) for South 24 Parganas. Additional changes include Subhankar Bala moving to the position of Deputy Managing Director at NBSTC, and Ravi Kumar stepping in as Joint Secretary for Health & Family Welfare. Furthermore, Mithun Biswas has been appointed as SDO of Raghunathpur, Purulia, while Ms. Surbhi Singla transitions to SDO of Haldia, Purba Medinipur.
