Punjab Shuffles Three IAS Officers in Fresh Administrative Realignment

The Punjab government has transferred three IAS officers in a fresh round of administrative postings, realigning responsibilities across key departments in the state. Paramjit Singh has been posted as Special Secretary in the Water Resources Department, a portfolio of critical importance given Punjab's ongoing challenges around irrigation, groundwater management, and river water disputes. Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Department of General Administration and Coordination, a nodal function in the state's governance architecture. Additionally, Ojasvi has been designated as Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, taking charge of urban governance in one of Punjab's most industrially active cities. The transfers, though limited in number, reflect the state government's intent to place experienced officers in departments that require focused administrative attention. Punjab's bureaucratic reshuffle comes at a time when the government is focused on accelerating development programmes and strengthening civic administration. The new postings are expected to take effect immediately, with the concerned officers assuming their respective charges in the coming days.
