Rani Batad Moved to Labour Department
Rani Batad has been transferred to the Labour Department, taking on additional charge over construction workers' welfare schemes.
Rani Batad, a 2014-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Deputy Secretary of the Labour Department in Madhya Pradesh, according to the order dated June 17, 2026. She also takes additional charge as Secretary of the MP Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board and Welfare Commissioner of the MP Unorganized Urban and Rural Workers Welfare Board. Batad previously served as Deputy Secretary of the Cooperation Department, a post now taken over by Pawan Kumar Jain under the same reshuffle. Her new responsibilities place her in charge of labour welfare schemes covering both organized construction workers and the broader unorganized workforce. The order was issued by the General Administration Department and signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on behalf of the Governor.
