Shri Atul Sobti, Director General, SCOPE and Ms. Anne Hammill, Associate Vice-President, Resilience, International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) signed an MoU to advance the sustainable energy transition of Indian Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) in addressing climate resilience, sustainable development and low-carbon development priorities. It reflects the shared vision of SCOPE and IISD to support in contributing to India's energy transition, through collaborative action and knowledge sharing. The MoU seeks to engage in strategic dialogue; research and knowledge sharing; capacity building in domains of renewable energy, ESG, green finance, and just transition; while fostering funding opportunities, sustainability-focused learning initiatives, developing practical solutions and engaging with knowledge resources to help enterprises navigate evolving sustainability and decarbonization priorities.

In this regard, a starting has already been made with the ‘PSUs for Practitioners' Learning and Action Network on Energy Transition (PSUs for PLANET)’, which is aimed at trust-based engagements with Public Sector in addressing common transition challenges, while being mindful of the financial, and local sensitivities. The platform aims to provide a solution by bringing together practitioners, policymakers, regulators, and companies.
