Delhi Government Transfers 36 DANICS Officers in Sweeping Administrative Reshuffle

The Delhi government has carried out a sweeping reshuffle of 36 Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Civil Service officers, reassigning numerous Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Additional District Magistrate, and specialised departmental roles across the capital's administrative structure.

Among the more prominent changes, Tanvir Ahmed has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Delhi Waqf Board, a position carrying administrative oversight of waqf property management and religious endowment administration within the capital.

Numerous Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Additional District Magistrate postings were reassigned as part of the exercise, including Rahul Agrawal as ADM North, Sudhakar as ADM South, A K Jha as SDM Narela, Piyush Mohanty as SDM New Delhi, and Ashish Joon as SDM Rohini, among many others spanning Delhi's various administrative districts.

Other roles touched by the reshuffle include Ashwani Kumar, appointed Superintendent of Prison, and K N Jha, named Deputy Medical Superintendent at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital, reflecting the reshuffle's reach beyond standard revenue administration into specialised institutional postings as well.

DANICS officers form the backbone of Delhi's district-level administrative machinery, with SDM and ADM postings carrying direct responsibility for revenue administration, land records, and coordination of welfare scheme implementation within their assigned sub-divisions or districts.

A reshuffle spanning 36 officers represents one of the more extensive administrative reorganisations within Delhi's DANICS cadre in recent memory, touching a substantial share of the cadre's district-level posting structure simultaneously rather than through smaller, staggered transfers.

The transfer orders were issued through the Delhi government's Services Department, which administers postings and transfers for the DANICS cadre.
