Tamil Nadu Carries Out Sweeping IAS Reshuffle with Over 30 Officers Reassigned
Tamil Nadu has reshuffled more than 30 IAS officers, reassigning them to departments, commissionerates and district collectorates across the state.
The Tamil Nadu government has executed a comprehensive reshuffle of its Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reassigning more than 30 officials to a wide range of departments, commissionerates and district collectorates in a sweeping administrative reorganisation. In key departmental postings, Mrs E Sundaravalli has been transferred to the Public and Rehabilitation Department as Special Secretary, while Mrs R Lalitha assumes the role of Secretary in the Finance Department's Expenditure wing. A K Kamal Kishore and M S Prasanth have been placed as Joint Secretaries in the Finance Department. Mrs R Alagumeena takes charge as Deputy Secretary in Health and Family Welfare; Mrs Pooja Kulkarni as Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise; V Amuthavalli as Commissioner, Rural Development; and P Ponniah as Commissioner, Collegiate Education. Further postings include Dr T G Vinay as Commissioner for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments; R Kannan as Commissioner, Sugar, while also retaining additional charge as Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency; and B Priyanka as Director, Town Panchayats. In district administration, P Akash has been appointed District Collector of Madurai; K J Praveen takes charge at Nagapattinam; Dr R Vaithinathan at Theni; V Saravanan at Dharmapuri; Pratik Tayal at Tiruchirappalli; Vandana Garg at Tiruvannamalai; J E Padmaja at Kallakurichi; N Priya at Ranipet; L Madhubalan at Namakkal; Anand Mohan at Tirunelveli; P S Leela Alex at Vellore; R Revathi at Thanjavur; and Dr M Veerappan at Chengalpattu.
