Tamil Nadu Transfers Sivagangai Collector K. Porkodi to Social Welfare Department
IAS officer K. Porkodi moved from District Collector, Sivagangai to Additional Director, Social Welfare Department in Tamil Nadu transfers.
Mrs. K. Porkodi, a 2019-batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, has been transferred from the post of District Collector, Sivagangai, and reposted as Additional Director in the state's Social Welfare Department. Porkodi's reassignment is part of a broader set of Tamil Nadu government transfers reorganising district-level and departmental postings. Her shift from a district collectorate to a state-level directorate is a standard rotation in Tamil Nadu cadre management. The Social Welfare Department administers a wide range of programmes targeting women, the elderly, the differently-abled, and other vulnerable groups. As Additional Director, Porkodi will be positioned in the department's upper administrative tier. Her successor at Sivagangai is Nishant Krishna, transferred from the Corporation of Nagercoil.
