Tamil Nadu Transfers Two IAS Officers; TNMSC and Animal Husbandry Charges Swapped
Tamil Nadu transfers two IAS officers in a straight swap between TNMSC and Animal Husbandry posts.
The Tamil Nadu government has transferred two IAS officers in a direct swap of postings between the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation (TNMSC) and the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services department. H. Krishnanunni, a 2012-batch officer who was Managing Director of TNMSC, has been posted as Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services. TNMSC is the state agency responsible for procuring and distributing medicines and medical equipment to government hospitals across Tamil Nadu, making the Managing Director's post a high-throughput administrative charge tied directly to the state's public health supply chain. S.P. Amrith, a 2013-batch officer who held the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services post, has been posted in Krishnanunni's place as Managing Director of TNMSC, completing the swap between the two officers. Postings at TNMSC typically require close coordination with the state Health Department given the corporation's role in medicine procurement, while the Animal Husbandry department oversees veterinary services and livestock health programmes across the state's rural economy. The transfer orders were issued by the Tamil Nadu government and take immediate effect.
