Tarun Kapoor Gets One-Year Extension as Advisor to the Prime Minister
Tarun Kapoor's tenure as Advisor to the PM in the PMO has been extended by one year from June 10, 2026, at Secretary-level rank.
The tenure of Tarun Kapoor as Advisor to the Prime Minister in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has been extended by one year, effective June 10, 2026. Kapoor holds the rank and pay scale of Secretary to the Government of India in this role. A 1987-batch former IAS officer of the Himachal Pradesh cadre, he continues to serve in a senior advisory capacity at the apex of the country's executive administration.
