Uttarakhand Realigns 19 IAS Officers in Wide-Ranging Administrative Shuffle
Uttarakhand reshuffles 19 IAS officers, with new postings in Dehradun, Bageshwar, Education, Health and Social Welfare among key reassignments.
The Uttarakhand government has redistributed portfolios among 19 IAS officers, making sweeping changes in district administration and key departments. Ashish Chauhan has been given the dual charge of District Magistrate, Dehradun, and CEO of Smart City Dehradun, while Apurva Pandey is posted as DM, Bageshwar. On the secretariat front, BVRC Purushottam joins as Secretary, Higher Education; Vinay Shankar Pandey is entrusted with Health and Civil Aviation; and Alok Kumar Pandey has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of Dehradun. Sachin Kurve has been relieved to proceed to a central government assignment, and Dr Ranjeet Kumar has been relieved of the charge of Secretary, Education. Anand Swarup takes over as Commissioner, Garhwal Division; Sanjay Kumar joins as Director, Social Welfare, Haldwani; Saurabh Maharwar as Additional Secretary, Disaster Management; and Ms Namami Bansal as Additional Secretary, School Education. Ms Deepti Singh is appointed Director, Minorities Welfare, along with additional charge of MD, Minorities Welfare Corporation and Director, Sports, Youth Welfare. Mrs Akanksha Konde has been named Director General, School Education, while Pravin Kumar has been relieved of his charge as Municipal Commissioner.
