Uttarakhand Reshuffles 19 IAS Officers Across District Administration and Key Secretariat Departments

The Uttarakhand government has redistributed portfolios among 19 IAS officers in a wide-ranging administrative shuffle spanning district magistrate postings, secretariat departments, and specialised welfare and education roles.

Ashish Chauhan has been given dual charge as District Magistrate of Dehradun and CEO of Smart City Dehradun, while Apurva Pandey is posted as District Magistrate for Bageshwar, placing fresh leadership across both the state capital's district administration and one of its hill districts.

At the secretariat level, BVRC Purushottam joins as Secretary for Higher Education, Vinay Shankar Pandey is entrusted with the Health and Civil Aviation portfolio, and Alok Kumar Pandey has been appointed Municipal Commissioner of Dehradun, spanning education policy, health and aviation coordination, and urban civic administration.

Two officers were relieved of their existing charges as part of the exercise, with Sachin Kurve proceeding to a central government assignment and Dr Ranjeet Kumar relieved of his Secretary, Education charge, creating vacancies the reshuffle's other appointments partly address.

Further postings include Anand Swarup as Commissioner of the Garhwal Division, Sanjay Kumar as Director of Social Welfare in Haldwani, and Saurabh Maharwar as Additional Secretary for Disaster Management, while Namami Bansal takes charge as Additional Secretary for School Education.

Deepti Singh has been appointed Director of Minorities Welfare, with additional charge as Managing Director of the Minorities Welfare Corporation and Director of Sports and Youth Welfare, while Akanksha Konde becomes Director General of School Education, and Pravin Kumar has been relieved of his Municipal Commissioner charge.

The transfer orders were issued through the Uttarakhand government's General Administration Department, which administers postings and transfers for the state's IAS cadre officers.
