ACC Approves 1-Year Deputation Extension for IRS Officer Namoijam Kheda Varta Singh
ACC approves one-year extension in deputation tenure for IRS officer Namoijam Kheda Varta Singh to Manipur govt.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a proposal from the Department of Revenue for a one-year extension in the deputation tenure of Namoijam Kheda Varta Singh, a 2008-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), with the Government of Manipur, beyond May 16, 2026. The extension has been granted in relaxation of the standard deputation policy, which typically caps the tenure an officer can serve away from their parent department without a fresh review. Singh's deputation with the Manipur government will now run one year beyond its original end date of May 16, 2026, following the Department of Revenue's proposal and its clearance by the ACC. The extension takes effect from May 16, 2026, according to the order.
