ACC Approves Two-Year Deputation Extension for IRPS Officer Vinay Kumar

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a proposal from the Railways for a two-year extension in the deputation tenure of Vinay Kumar, a 2014-batch officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), with effect from November 13, 2026. Kumar's deputation with the Haryana state government was due to end on November 13, 2026, before the extension was cleared. The IRPS handles personnel administration, recruitment and industrial relations functions within the Indian Railways, and officers from the service are periodically deputed to state governments for general administrative assignments. ACC clearance is required for any extension in Central deputation terms beyond the initially sanctioned period, and this extension keeps Kumar in his current assignment with the Haryana government for two additional years.
