Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, currently serving as Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, has been appointed as Vice Chief of the Air Staff, effective July 1, 2026.
Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit has been designated as the next Vice Chief of the Air Staff of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and is scheduled to assume charge on July 1, 2026. Currently serving as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (CISC) at the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, Dixit brings extensive operational and strategic experience to his new role. His appointment to one of the IAF's most senior positions reflects the military's emphasis on continuity of leadership at the highest levels of command.
