Alok Kumar Singh Named Inspector General of Registration and Stamps
Alok Kumar Singh moves from the Chief Minister's secretariat to head the state's registration and stamps department.
Alok Kumar Singh, a 2008-batch IAS officer, has been posted as Inspector General of Registration and Superintendent of Stamps for Madhya Pradesh, under the General Administration Department's order dated June 17, 2026. He previously served as Secretary to the Chief Minister, where he also held an additional charge in the Mineral Resources Department. The Registration and Stamps department oversees property registration, stamp duty collection and document authentication, a function that generates substantial revenue for the state government. Singh's exit from the role frees up Amit Tomar, a 2009-batch officer, to move into a different assignment under the same order. The transfer takes immediate effect and continues until further orders, per the notification signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on behalf of the Governor.
