IRS (Income Tax) officer Amrita Singh Ahuja has resigned from the service.
Amrita Singh Ahuja, an officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax), has resigned from the service. While the official reasons behind her resignation have not been publicly disclosed, the move marks her exit from the central civil services cadre responsible for administering direct taxes in India. Officers of the IRS (IT) are responsible for implementing tax laws, managing income tax administration and ensuring compliance across the country. Her resignation will come into effect once it receives formal acceptance from the competent authority within the Government of India.
