Bhaskar Lakshkar Takes Charge of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection

Bhaskar Lakshkar, a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, with an additional charge as Secretary of the same department, under the order dated June 17, 2026. He previously served as Commissioner of Treasury and Accounts and ex-officio Secretary of the Finance Department. The food and civil supplies department manages the public distribution system, ration card administration and consumer protection enforcement across Madhya Pradesh. Lakshkar takes over the post from Karamveer Sharma, who has been moved to head Bhopal Division as Commissioner under the same reshuffle. The General Administration Department order, signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain, takes effect immediately and remains in force until further orders.
