Karamveer Sharma Appointed Commissioner, Bhopal Division

Karamveer Sharma, a 2010-batch IAS officer, has been named Commissioner of Bhopal Division, according to the Madhya Pradesh government's transfer order issued on June 17, 2026. He moves from his earlier post as Commissioner-cum-Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, where he also served as Secretary of the same department as an additional charge. The Bhopal Division Commissioner's office oversees district administration coordination across the division, a role previously held by Sanjeev Singh, who has been transferred to the Sports and Youth Welfare Department under the same order. Sharma's move into the post comes alongside Bhaskar Lakshkar's appointment to take over the food and civil supplies portfolio Sharma is vacating. The order was issued by the General Administration Department and signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on behalf of the Governor.
