Delhi LG Orders Mass Transfer of 34 IPS Officers; Two Promoted to DCP Rank
The LG of Delhi has ordered transfers of 34 IPS and DANIPS officers late Thursday, with two being promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police rank.
The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi issued sweeping transfer orders late Thursday, reshuffling 34 IPS and DANIPS officers across the Delhi Police force. Among those affected, two officers have been elevated to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP). Key postings include Sharad Bhaskar (IPS-2013) moving from DCP West to DCP Headquarters-III; V. Hareshwar Swamy (IPS-2013) from DCP Outer North to DCP West; Jimmy Chiram (IPS-2013) to DCP Traffic with additional charge of DCP SPUNER; and Rahool Alwal (IPS-2014) from DCP ANTF to DCP North East. Shobit D. Saxena (IPS-2015) moves from DCP Traffic to DCP Outer North, while Ms. Niharika Bhatt (IPS-2015) has been shifted from Addl DCP-1 Dwarka to Addl DCP-1 North. Ms. Neha Yadav (IPS-2015) has been entrusted with additional charge of DCP SPUWAC. Jitendra Mani (IPS-2016) moves from DCP Supreme Court Security to DCP Security, and Ms. Aishwarya Sharma (IPS-2017) has been posted as DCP Licencing. Among DANIPS officers, Sikandar Khan (DANIPS-2010) moves to Addl DCP-1 Shahdara, Deepak Yadav to DCP 4th Bn DAP, Chandra Kumar Singh to DCP Crime, and Gaurav Gupta (DANIPS-2012) to DCP ANTF. Two ACP rank officers — Ravindran B.M. and Vikas Meena (both IPS-2022) — have been promoted to Addl DCP positions, while Ms. Sulekha (IPS-2022) has been posted as DCP Security.
