Tamil Nadu Police Reshuffles Seven IPS Officers; Two on Wait List Receive Postings
The Tamil Nadu government transferred seven IPS officers and assigned two who were on wait list to new postings, in a mid-year reshuffle.
The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday carried out a significant reshuffle in its police leadership, transferring seven IPS officers and granting fresh postings to two officers who had been on the waiting list. Kapil Kumar C Saratkar (IPS-2002), who was serving as IGP/Additional Commissioner of Police (Headquarters and Traffic) at Tambaram Police Commissionerate, has been moved to IGP Madurai. Abhisekh Dixit (IPS-2006) has been transferred from IG Madurai to IGP Railways, Chennai, while Dr J. Longanathan (IPS-2002), who was on wait, has been posted as IGP Technical Services, Chennai. Dr R. Thirunavukkarasu (IPS-2010) has been assigned to DIG Tirunelveli Range after being on wait. P. Pakalavan (IPS-2009) moves from wait to DIG/Joint Commissioner, Traffic, South Greater Chennai Police. Disha Mittal (IPS-2010) has been transferred from DIG/Joint Commissioner, Traffic, North Greater Chennai Police to DIG/Joint Commissioner, Law and Order, West Greater Chennai. Bandi Gangadhar (IPS-2011) has been moved from DIG/Joint Commissioner, Law and Order, East Greater Chennai to serve as Chief Vigilance Officer at Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd.
