Haryana Repatriates Senior IPS Officers, Triggering Bureaucratic Unease
Haryana's repatriation of two senior IPS officers to their parent cadre has unsettled other non-IAS bureaucrats holding administrative posts.
The Haryana Government has repatriated two senior IPS officers, Navdeep Singh Virk and Kala Ramachandran, back to their parent policing cadre from administrative posts. Both officers hold the rank of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP). This move has reportedly pleased IAS officers, as these positions were traditionally held by them, but has created anxiety among other non-IAS bureaucrats holding similar cadre positions. Officers currently feeling the pressure include Pankaj Nain (IPS), S. Narayanan (IFS), Vivek Aggarwal (IRS), Vinay Kumar (IRPS), and Prashant Deshta (HPCS), who occupy key roles in various state departments.
