Hon'ble Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh inaugurated the 3rd Batch of DAKSH, the flagship leadership program by the SCOPE and CBC. Ms. S. Radha Chauhan, Chairperson, CBC; Shri K. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, NBCC; Dr. Alka Mittal, Member, CBC; Shri Roop Narayan Sunkar, Member, PESB; Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay, Vice-Chairman, SCOPE & CMD, GSL; Shri Atul Sobti, DG, SCOPE; alongside Senior Govt. officials, PESB members, and CPSE leaders. The third batch of DAKSH entails 70 participants from PSEs across diverse sectors.
DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession & Harmony) is a 12-month immersive learning journey, meticulously designed to be future-focused, empowering participants with the strategic, behavioural, and transformational competencies required to navigate the complex and evolving challenges of the Public Sector.
Inaugurating DAKSH's third Batch, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh commended SCOPE and CBC, noting that several alumni of DAKSH, have already advanced to Board-level roles. He urged the new cohort to master global strategies through interactive, technology-driven learning rather than passive participation. Additionally, he applauded the program's growing inclusivity, celebrating the selection of 10 women among the 70 participants.
Ms. S. Radha Chauhan emphasized that in an era where agentic AI and evolving technology ecosystems are redefining governance, citizen-centric leadership is essential. She urged participants to fully leverage every learning immersion, enabling them to return to their organizations as future-ready leaders.
Shri K. Moses Chalai highlighted the vital role of PSEs in the nation's economy, underscoring that visionary leadership is essential at this scale of national contribution. Noting that CPSEs have transformed with time, he affirmed that DAKSH is precisely the platform needed to nurture talent and build future-ready leaders.
Dr. K.P. Mahadevaswamy, expressed gratitude to Dr. Jitendra Singh for his presence, reaffirming the Government's commitment to capacity building, and emphasised that the true strength of an organisation lies not in its assets but in the people, it nurtures and the leaders it develops.
Shri Atul Sobti in his address said that the gathering was not a mere inauguration, but a reaffirmation that organizations investing in future leadership achieve the greatest success. He added that while exceptional individual leaders exist, the need for strategic vision and cross-sectional expertise has grown and DAKSH, a first-of-its-kind initiative, offers the same.
Dr. Alka Mittal speaking on the strategic role of PSEs said that they are the foremost instruments for realizing Viksit Bharat and DAKSH aims to create leaders for them who are strategic in outlook, principled in conduct, resilient in spirit, and grounded in ethical clarity.
Prof. Madan Pillutla expressed his honour at ISB's association with DAKSH, and shared that as the academic and Knowledge partner for DAKSH 3, ISB is committed to delivering an outstanding, world-class learning experience.
Delivering the concluding remarks and vote of thanks, Shri Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay expressed that as India moves forward with confidence, the role of Public sector leadership becomes ever more important and that it is ultimately leadership that determines the success of any organization. He conveyed that every participant leaves the occasion inspired, encouraged, and united by a shared sense of purpose.
