IAS officers reshuffled in MP

The government of Madhya Pradesh issued transfer orders for 26 senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers late on Sunday evening, indicating a major administrative reshuffle. Notably, T Elaiyaraj has been assigned to the Tourism Department, while Tarun Rathi has been designated as Commissioner for Tribal Development, and S Dhanaraju has assumed the role of Health Commissioner. This extensive reallocation of duties is anticipated to inject new energy into governance and the execution of policies across various departments. Senior officials have been appointed to several vital portfolios, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing administrative efficiency. According to the orders, Shivshekhar Shukla (1994 batch) has been named Additional Chief Secretary for the Home and Culture Department, while Umakant Umrao (1996) will take on the role of Principal Secretary for Animal Husbandry and Dairy. Shobhit Jain (2000) has been appointed Principal Secretary for the AYUSH Department. John Kingsley A R (2004) has been assigned as Secretary for Horticulture and Food Processing, and Shreeman Shukla (2007) will serve as Secretary for Planning and Statistics. Swatantra Kumar Singh (2007) is set to lead the Fishermen Welfare and Fisheries Development Department. Vishesh Garhpale (2008) has been appointed Managing Director of MP Power Management Company in Jabalpur, while Alok Kumar Singh (2008) will act as Secretary to the Chief Minister, with additional responsibilities for the Mineral Resources Department. In addition to these significant appointments, Anay Dwivedi (2010) has been designated as Commissioner for Commercial Tax in Indore, Anurag Chaudhary (2010) as Managing Director of MP Fisheries Federation, Neha Marvya Singh (2011) as Additional Secretary for Tribal Affairs, and Gautam Singh (2011) as Commissioner for the MP Housing and Infrastructure Development Board.
