ISS Veteran Anuja Bapat Appointed Joint Secretary at NTA

Ms Anuja Bapat has been appointed as Joint Secretary at the National Testing Agency (NTA), as the government temporarily upgrades a vacant Deputy Secretary/Director-level post to the Joint Secretary grade to accommodate the appointment. Bapat, a 1998-batch officer of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), will hold the position for a tenure of five years under the Department of Higher Education. Her statistical and analytical expertise is expected to be an asset in strengthening NTA's examination processes and data management frameworks. The move is part of ongoing efforts to reinforce the NTA's senior leadership in the wake of calls for greater accountability and systemic reforms.
