IRS Officer Ruchita Vij Elevated to Joint Secretary Post at NTA
2004-batch IRS (C&IT) officer Ruchita Vij has been appointed Joint Secretary at the National Testing Agency for a five-year term under the Department of Higher Education.
Ms Ruchita Vij has been named as Joint Secretary at the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Department of Higher Education, with her appointment facilitated through the temporary upgrading of a vacant post from the Deputy Secretary/Director level to the Joint Secretary grade. A 2004-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes), Vij brings over two decades of administrative and fiscal expertise to the role. Her five-year tenure will see her contribute to the NTA's mission of conducting fair, transparent, and efficient national-level examinations. The appointment continues the government's push to build a stronger and more diverse senior leadership team at the NTA.
