Satendra Singh Moved to Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department
Satendra Singh has been appointed Commissioner-cum-Director of the Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department in Madhya Pradesh.
Satendra Singh, a 2009-batch IAS officer, has been transferred as Commissioner-cum-Director of the Backward Classes and Minority Welfare Department, with additional charge as Commissioner of Scheduled Caste Development and Managing Director of the MP State Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Corporation, according to the order dated June 17, 2026. He previously held a cluster of tribal-welfare roles, including Financial Commissioner-cum-Director of Tribal Area Development Schemes, Managing Director of the MP Employment and Training Council (MAPCET), and charge of the Tribal Research and Development Institute. Those responsibilities now transfer to Neha Marvya Singh, a 2011-batch officer named in the same order. The reshuffle moves Satendra Singh from tribal-focused administration to a department covering backward classes and minority welfare schemes. The order was issued by the General Administration Department and signed by Chief Secretary Anurag Jain on behalf of the Governor.
