Kerala Reshuffles Six Superintendent-Rank IPS Officers in Wide Police Reorganisation

The Kerala government on Wednesday issued transfer orders for six Superintendent of Police (SP)-rank IPS officers, extending a wide police reshuffle that also affected IGP and DIG-rank positions. Ajit Kumar (2017 batch, Kerala cadre), who had been awaiting posting after his removal as District Police Chief, Palakkad, has been posted as SP, Telecom. Mohanachandran Nair M.P. (2019 batch), previously assigned to Crime Branch in Kozhikode and Wayanad, moves to Crime Branch, Malappuram. Arun K. Pavithran (2020 batch) is posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police-2 (Law and Order and Traffic) in Kochi City. Batchmate Juvvanapudi Mahesh takes up SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, Southern Range, Thiruvananthapuram. Shahul Hameed A. (2020 batch) is posted to the Economic Offences Wing, Thiruvananthapuram Range. Shahansha K.S. (2021 batch), previously serving as DCP-2 (Law and Order and Traffic) in Kochi City, has been shifted to the equivalent post in Thiruvananthapuram City. The round of orders signals a wide restructuring of operational police command across Kerala's districts and ranges.
