Mansi Verma Appointed Director, National Recruitment Agency

Mansi Verma has been appointed Director at the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) in Delhi, under the Department of Personnel and Training, for a tenure of five years. The National Recruitment Agency was set up to conduct the Common Eligibility Test (CET), a single screening examination intended to replace multiple separate recruitment tests for non-gazetted posts across Central government departments and public sector banks. A Director-level posting at the agency involves administrative work tied to examination planning, coordination with recruiting bodies and rollout of the CET framework across states. Verma is a 2012-batch officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), a service responsible for personnel administration, recruitment and industrial relations within the Indian Railways. Her background in railway personnel management aligns with the recruitment-administration mandate of the NRA. The agency has been gradually expanding its examination infrastructure since its creation, including the setting up of test centres in smaller towns and districts to widen access to the CET for candidates outside major cities. A five-year posting places Verma at the agency during a period when the CET framework is expected to see wider rollout across recruiting departments and states. The appointment takes effect for a five-year tenure, according to the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training.
