Meghalaya Undertakes Wide-Ranging Reshuffle of IAS Officers Across Key Departments

The Government of Meghalaya has carried out a comprehensive reshuffle of its Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, reassigning officials across a range of critical departments. Abhilash Baranwal has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, while Rosetta Mary Kurbah moves to the Home (Police) and Tourism portfolios. Dr Abhishek Saini takes charge as DC, Ri-Bhoi, and Barnali Mawlong steps in as Secretary for Health & Family Welfare. Among other changes, Aitinolin L Mawlong is posted as DC, South West Khasi Hills; Sampath Kumar receives additional charge as Principal Resident Commissioner at Meghalaya House, New Delhi; and M R Synrem, as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister's Secretariat, is also assigned oversight of the Secretariat Administration, Health & Family Welfare, and Additional Development Commissioner roles in New Delhi. Sanjay Goyal moves to Resident Commissioner in New Delhi, while Dr Pooja Pandey gains charge of Cooperation and the Meghalaya State Warehousing Corporation. Cyril V D Diengdoh, in addition to his current responsibilities, takes on the Commerce & Industries portfolio. Richa Kulkarni is posted as Deputy Secretary, Planning, while Swapnil Tembe, Secretary Finance, also absorbs the Fisheries charge. Additional postings include Mrs Rikse R Marak gaining a Joint Secretary role in Lok Bhawan, Tura, and Mrs Ibashisha Mawlong taking over as Director, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs.
