IRAS Officer Prateek Singh Meena Appointed Executive Director of TRIFED
IRAS officer Prateek Singh Meena has been appointed Executive Director of TRIFED under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for a five-year tenure.
Prateek Singh Meena has been appointed as Executive Director (ED) at the Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED), a key institution under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, under the Central Staffing Scheme. Meena, a 2012-batch officer of the Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS), has been appointed to the Director-level post for a tenure of five years. TRIFED plays a pivotal role in promoting and marketing tribal handicrafts, natural produce and forest products, serving as a lifeline for millions of tribal artisans and communities across India. His appointment is expected to strengthen TRIFED's operational efficiency and expand its outreach programmes as the government doubles down on tribal welfare and economic empowerment.
