Rajasthan IAS Reshuffle: Key Administrative Changes Announced Across Departments
Rajasthan government undertakes a sweeping administrative reshuffle, assigning new roles to several IAS officers across key departments and districts.
In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government has reassigned a large number of IAS officers to key positions across departments and districts. Dr. Joga Ram has been appointed as Administrative Secretary and Commissioner of Panchayati Raj, along with the additional charge of Mission Director, National Health Mission. Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni will now serve as Secretary to the Chief Minister and handle Information & Public Relations. Rajan Vishal has been designated as Mission Director of the Jal Jeevan Mission, while Kanhaiya Lal Swami takes charge as Divisional Commissioner of Jodhpur. Nakate Shivprasad Madan has been posted as Managing Director in Energy Development and IT Services. Sandesh Nayak assumes charge as Collector and District Magistrate (DM) of Jaipur. Several other key appointments include Shivangi Swarnkar as Special Administrative Secretary (Finance), Anupama Jorwal as DM of Jaisalmer, and Om Prakash Kasera as Commissioner of Jaipur Municipal Corporation and CEO of Jaipur Smart City Ltd. Namit Mehta will oversee Excise, while Namrata Vrishni takes charge in Mines and Petroleum. Multiple district-level changes have also been made, with officers such as Gaurav Agarwal (Udaipur), Chinmayee Gopal (Barmer), Aparna Gupta (Kotputli-Behror), and Nishant Jain (Bikaner) assuming roles as District Magistrates. The reshuffle also includes several new OSDs and Joint Secretaries in the Chief Minister’s Office, indicating a strategic administrative realignment aimed at strengthening governance.
