Rajasthan Reallocates Two Young IPS Officers to New Postings in Jaipur
Rajasthan shifts 2023-batch IPS officers Jatin Jain and Prateek Singh to ASP postings in Chomu and Sanganer, Jaipur.
The Rajasthan government has effected transfers of two officers from the 2023 batch of the Indian Police Service, giving them fresh postings within Jaipur district. Jatin Jain has been posted as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) for the Chomu sub-division in Jaipur, while Prateek Singh has been assigned as ASP for the Sanganer area, also falling within the Jaipur district jurisdiction. The reassignments are part of routine personnel management within the Rajasthan Police, with both officers continuing in the same ASP rank but in different operational jurisdictions. Both Chomu and Sanganer are important sub-divisions: Chomu lies on the northern outskirts of Jaipur and witnesses significant movement along major highway corridors, while Sanganer in the south is an industrially and commercially active zone that includes the Jaipur International Airport area. As 2023-batch IPS officers, Jain and Singh are in the early years of their field postings following the completion of probation. Assignments at the ASP level in districts like Jaipur provide young officers with direct exposure to law enforcement challenges in both urban and semi-urban settings, helping build the operational and administrative skills needed for more senior roles. The Rajasthan Police has been actively managing transfers within the state to ensure optimal deployment of personnel across districts, particularly in regions with heightened administrative or security requirements. Jaipur, as the state capital and most populous city, receives particular attention in this regard. The moves are administrative in nature and are expected to help both officers gain experience in diverse policing environments as they progress through their IPS careers.
