Senior IAS officer Ranjana Chopra has been assigned the additional responsibility of Secretary, Women and Child Development, on a temporary basis until May 2, 2026. Currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Chopra is a 1994-batch officer of the Odisha cadre. The move ensures continuity in leadership within the Women and Child Development Ministry during the interim period.
